PONTIANAK – FisipNews. Kampus Digital, Gunakan Google Apps dukung pembelajaran di Untan. Bertajuk Untan Has Gone Google for Education (GAFE) di angkat bersamaan dalam forum Launching dan Sosialisasi Sistem Informasi dan Aplikasi Online Universitas Tanjungpura.
Gagasan dan implementasi GAFE itu disampaikan oleh Tim Puskom pada 23 April 2015 di Rektorat Untan Pontianak.
Kampus Digital, Google Apps dukung pembelajaran Untan
Kampus Digital: Gunakan Google Apps Dukung Pembelajaran di Untan. Usai pemaparan Postur IT Untan, tim Puskom melanjutkan topik Untan Has Gone Google for Education dihadapan Rektor Untan Prof. Dr. H. Thamrin Usman, DEA pimpinan fakultas, kepala unit-unit kerja dan komunitas dosen di Untan.
Pada topik itu, dijelaskan berbagai aplikasi yang disediakan Google Apps secara gratis untuk mendukung Untan Kampus Digital khususnya dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan layanan pendidikan.
Program yang sudah berjalan lebih dari setahun ini telah memberikan dampak positif terhadap atmosfer akademis, dimana ribuan akun gmail private berlogo Untan sudah di gunakan oleh user civitas akademika, baik dosen, mahasiswa maupun pegawai.
Akun gmail ini menjadi aset digital penting bagi para user untuk mengakses dan mengembangkan berbagai aplikasi lain yang disediakan oleh Google.

Kampus Digital: Gunakan Google Apps Dukung Pembelajaran di Untan. Civitas akademika Untan yang tergerak dalam program Untan Has Gone Google for Education memanfaatkan ragam Aplikasi Google Apps yang mendukung pembelajaran dan aktivitas lainnya seperti Classroom, Calendar, Gform, Gslide, Gdoc, Gsheet, Gdrive, Gmail, G+, Youtube, Gsite, Gschoolar, Gcendekia, Gbook, dan banyak lagi.
Pemanfaatan Google Apps di tingkat fakultas juga terasa dengan adanya peran dosen pengampu beberapa mata kuliah, mereka mengajak para mahasiswanya untuk mengenal lebih dalam berbagai aplikasi yang tersedia.
Memang sebelumnya, google sering dianggap sebagai ‘mesin pencari’ yang hanya di butuhkan untuk menemukan berbagai data informasi yang diperlukan.
Namun, begitu Google Apps diperkenalkan secara massif di lingkungan kampus, perhatian pengguna terhadap jenis aplikasi yang fungsional tersebut, juga kian meningkat.

Kampus Digital: Gunakan Google Apps Dukung Pembelajaran di Untan. Misalnya google Classroom, telah digunakan dan dikelola mandiri oleh dosen untuk mendukung kegiatan e-learning.
Mahasiswa juga merasa nyaman dengan aplikasi ini, karena dianggap dapat memperlancar dan memperkaya materi kuliah mereka secara mobile dan online dengan gadget yang mereka gunakan.
Mahasiswa juga banyak yang mengerti dan tertarik memanfaatkan aplikasi kalender, sebagai pengingat kegiatan mereka via ponsel. Gform juga dinilai cukup membantu para dosen dan mahasiswa didalam membuat daftar kuesioner, yang dinamis untuk keperluan penelitian maupun latihan.
Gslide juga dianggap sebagai alternatif solusi dalam membuat bahan presentasi secara online, sehingga user tidak perlu terlalu bergantung dengan office power point yang biasanya melekat dalam desktop.
Tak kalah dengan aplikasi lain, G+ dan Hangout juga semakin ramai dalam lingkaran komunitas sosial media yang dikesankan ‘istimewa’ dibandingkan media sosial mainstream.
Kaitan dengan media simpan digital, Gdrive sebagai cloud yang sangat diminati oleh dosen dan mahasiswa untuk keperluan media simpan dan berbagi file data.
Banyak sudah aplikasi Google Apps yang dimanfaatkan oleh civitas akademika Untan, sehingga besar harapan komunitas ini agar kerja sama dalam format Untan Has Gone Google for Education ini semakin ditingkatkan demi mewujudkan Untan Digital Kampus yang Unggul dan Berkarakter. (dd98)
