FISIP UNTAN diawal tahun ini bermitra dengan Friedensau Adventist University (FAU) Jerman melalui penyelenggaraan kuliah umum dan penandatanganan Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

Kegiatan yang berlangsung di Aula Rektorat Lantai 3 Untan pada Jumat, 17 Januari 2025 ini dihadiri oleh jajaran pimpinan universitas dan fakultas, serta akademisi dan mahasiswa di lingkungan Universitas Tanjungpura..

Penandatanganan Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

Dalam sambutannya, Ketua Pelaksana Acara, Akhmad Rifky Setya Anugrah, mengatakan, suatu kehormatan dan keistimewaan bagi kami untuk menyambut hadirin sekalian dalam momen penandatanganan Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

MoU antara Universitas Tanjungpura dan Friedensau Adventist University serta International Public Lecture.

Dekan FISIP Untan, Herlan, turut menyampaikan optimismenya terhadap kerja sama ini. “Kami berharap FISIP dapat terlibat dalam diskusi yang bermakna dan memiliki kerja sama yang lebih spesifik sehingga ini menjadi langkah kita bersama menuju FISIP Goes International.

Selain itu, kegiatan pada hari ini bukan yang pertama, sebelumnya tahun lalu FISIP dan FAU melakukan kerja sama dengan melaksanakan kolokium yang diikuti oleh dosen FISIP Untan dan para peneliti dari berbagai universitas, termasuk dari Tanzania,” ungkapnya.

Penandatanganan MoU dilaksanakan oleh Wakil Rektor Untan, Rustamadji, bersama delegasi Friedensau Adventist University yang diwakili oleh Ulrike Schultz dan Kwaku Arhin-Sam yang disaksikan oleh Kepala Kantor Urusan Internasional Untan dan Dekan FISIP Untan.

Aspek Kerjasama dan Program

Kerja sama strategis ini mencakup berbagai aspek penting, yaitu pengembangan program akademik, penelitian kolaboratif, pertukaran mahasiswa, dosen dan tenaga kependidikan, serta penyelenggaraan konferensi internasional.

Setelah penandatanganan MoU, acara dilanjutkan dengan Public International Lecture bertajuk “Resisting Labeling: Self-Categorization of People on the Move in the Sudans” dengan pembicaranya, yaitu Prof. Dr. rer. pol. Ulrike Schultz.

Ulrike merupakan seorang profesor bidang Pengembangan Sosiologi Ekonomi asal FAU, membagikan hasil penelitiannya yang sudah dilakukan selama 35 tahun di Afrika, khususnya wilayah Sudan.

Kegiatan pada siang hari dilanjutkan dengan diskusi secara lebih spesifik antara pimpinan FISIP Untan dengan Friedensau Adventist University. Diskusi tersebut membahas program yang akan dilaksanakan pada awal semester tahun ini.

Berdasarkan hasil diskusi, kegiatan yang akan segera berlangsung yaitu adanya program magang mahasiswa Friedensau Adventist University ke FISIP Untan di Pontianak, Kalimantan Barat.
