Lebih dari 60 pakar dibidang sosiologi hadir dalam Workshop Pengelolaan Jurnal Pembelajaran Mata Kuliah Inti Program Sarjana dan Pasca Sarjana Sosiologi. Para Sosiolog ini adalah anggota dan pengurus dari Asosiasi Program Studi Sosiologi Indonesia (APSSI) yang rutin menyelenggarakan pertemuan tahunan, kali ini difasilitasi oleh jurusan Sosiologi FISIP Universitas Tanjungpura, Selasa 28 Oktober 2014 di Hotel Santika, Pontianak.

Jumlah para pakar ini terus bertambah karena sebagian peserta masih dalam perjalanan dari berbagai wilayah. Sesuai agenda, pukul 14.00 digelar rapat APSSI dilanjutkan acara pembukaan dan malam ramah tamah usai magrib, seperti dikatakan Dr.Mohtaria M Noh, pakar Sosiologi senior dari FISIP Untan, disela-sela gladi bersih pembukaan workshop APSSI.
Diantara peserta yang telah hadir sejumlah guru besar, Dekan, pengurus APSSI, dosen dan doktor sosiologi antara lain Ahmad Sinala (Wk Ketua 2 APSSI – Untad) M. Dalam rapat APPSI dibahas agenda isu kekinian program studi dan kurikulum, pertemuan dengan asesor dan persiapan Kongres II/KNS IV di Manado. Selanjutnya para peserta akan dibagi kedalam 4 komisi yakni komisi pengelolaan jurnal, komisi pengantar sosiologi, komisi metodologi penelitian, dan komisi teori-teori sosiologi.
