Kali ini jurusan Sosiologi yang diamanatkan untuk menyelenggarakan Workshop Nasional Asosiasi Program Studi Sosiologi Indonesia (APSSI) bertajuk Workshop Pengelolaan Jurnal dan Penyusunan Pembelajaran Mata kuliah Inti Sosiologi. Kegiatan berlangsung selama tiga hari sejak 28 – 30 Oktober 2014.

Workshop dihadiri ratusan peserta dosen, pakar, sosiolog, dan guru besar dari puluhan perguruan tinggi anggota APSSI yang diantaranya datang dari Aceh (Univ Teuku Umar) Padang (Unan, STKIP), Medan, Palembang (Unsri), Bangka Belitung (UBB), Jawa (UI, UNEJ, UGM, Univ Atmajaya, UIN Bandung, UNS Solo, dll), Kalimantan (Unmul Samarinda, dll), Sulawesi (Unmuh Makassar, Univ Tadulako, Univ Haluoleo, dll), Papua (Univ Cendrawasih) dan banyak lagi yang masih proses kedatangan ke lokasi workshop, di Hotel Santika Pontianak.

FISIP Untan sendiri menunjuk tim delegasinya guna berkontribusi dalam pembahasan di 4 komisi Workshop diantaranya Dr.Syf.Ema Rahmania dan anggota komisi jurnal, Drs.Donatianus, M.Hum dan anggota komisi Metodologi Penelitian, Drs.M.Sabran Achyar, M.Si dan anggota komisi Pengantar Sosiologi, dan Viza Juliansyah, S.Sos,MA,MIR dan anggota komisi teori Sosiologi.
Tim diharapkan aktif dalam proses diskusi, bahasan hingga perumusan di masing-masing komisi sehingga memberikan corak dan dinamika tersendiri dalam forum yang bertema: “Memperkuat Jejaring Prodi Sosiologi untuk Berperan Strategis Menuju Indonesia Baru” kata Drs.Sukamto, M.Si, Dekan FISIP Universitas Tanjungpura.
Agar penyelenggaraan workshop nasional ini berlangsung baik dan lancar, maka Dekan juga telah membentuk tim panitia yang terdiri dari unsur pimpinan fakutas/jurusan, dosen, dan tenaga administrasi. Mereka bekerja keras demi mensukseskan acara sejak dari proses persiapan, kedatangan peserta, pembukaan, rapat dan pembahasan di komisi, penutupan, city tour hingga kepulangan peserta. Semuanya didedikasikan demi kenyamanan para peserta dan anggota APSSI yang rela datang dari berbagai penjuru tanah air, kata Dekan periode 2014-2018 ini. (dd98)
