UNTAN Sosialisasikan SNMPTN 2015.Universitas Tanjungpura (UNTAN) menggelar kegiatan sosialisasi penerimaan calon mahasiswa baru jalur Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SNMPTN) tahun 2015. Sosialisasi dilaksanakan pada hari Kamis (05/02/2015) bertempat di Gedung Auditorium UNTAN.

Ratusan peserta hadir dari perwakilan SMA/MA/SMK/MAK se-Kalimantan Barat serta operator Pangkalan Data Sekolah dan Siswa (PDSS).

PDSS merupakan basis data yang berisikan rekam jejak sekolah dan prestasi akademik siswanya.

SNMPTN 2015 merupakan pola seleksi nasional yang dilaksanakan oleh Panitia Pelaksana SNMPTN 2015 yang ditetapkan oleh Dirjen Dikti dan diikuti oleh seluruh Perguruan Tinggi Negeri dalam satu sistem yang terpadu.

Pola seleksi nasional ini didasarkan pada penjaringan prestasi akademik dengan menggunakan nilai rapor dan prestasi-prestasi lainnya.

Biaya pelaksanaan SNMPTN 2015 ditanggung oleh Pemerintah, sehingga peserta tidak dipungut biaya pendaftaran.

Rektor UNTAN, Prof. Dr. H. Thamrin Usman, DEA dalam sambutannya menyampaikan ajakan kepada pihak sekolah agar dapat bekerjasama dengan baik dalam setiap proses seleksi ini.

Pengisian dan verifikasi PDSS adalah proses penting dalam SNMPTN 2015. Rektor berharap agar proses seleksi tahun ini dapat berjalan lebih baik lagi.

UNTAN membuka pendaftaran pada 64 program studi dengan kuota penerimaan sebanyak 2.259 mahasiswa baru dalam SNMPTN 2015 ini. Dari jumlah tersebut, juga akan diterima sebanyak 600 mahasiswa baru Bidik Misi.

Peningkatan jumlah program studi yang terus diupayakan UNTAN merupakan strategi untuk meningkatkan Angka Partisipasi Kasar (APK) Pendidikan Tinggi di Indonesia.
