“Saya ingin menunjukkan kepada khalayak ramai, bahwa hasil didikan Fisip Untan Pontianak bisa berkarya,” jelasnya.
Untuk itu, Utin Sri Lena ingin meningkatkan pengembangan usaha bagi para alumni, menjual hasil karya para alumni dan mengikut sertakan alumni pada pameran yang sering diadakan, supaya hasil didikan alumni Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Untan bisa lebih terekspos.
Bahkan, Utin Sri Lena akan memberikan pelayanan internet gratis, bagi mahasiswa yang ada di lingkungan Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Untan Pontianak.
Sementara Ketua pelaksana kongres, Suprapto mengatakan, alumni yang terpilih sebagai ketua baru dapat membuat sinergitas dengan pemerintah untuk pembangunan daerah, kabupaten dan kota.
“Kita berharap, ketua yang baru bisa melanjutkan program – program yang belum terlaksana,” pintanya.
Ketua umum ikatan alumni sebelumnya, Supratman, meminta agar ikatan alumni Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Untan sejajar dengan ikatan alumni fakultas lainnya, dan jangan hanya dijadikan sebagai simbol.
“Jangan jadikan ikatan alumni ini hanya sebagai suatu pemanis dan simbol saja,” jelas dia.
Wakil Dekan III Bidang Kemahasiswaan dan Alumni Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Pemerintahan Untan Pontianak, M. Sabran Achyar mengatakan, ketua Ikatan Alumni Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik yang baru, dipilih berdasarkan musyawarah mufakat.
Sabran berharap, Ketua ikatan alumni yang baru, bisa menjalankan visi misinya dengan baik, dan bisa berperan aktif untuk Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Untan Pontianak khususnya.
