Forum Komunikasi Mahasiswa Islam (FKMI) Nuruddin Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik (FISIP) Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak, mengadakan seminar Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA) Community, dalam rangka milad FKMI Nuruddin yang ke-25. seperti yang dilansir thetanjungpuratimes (20/03).

“Kita mengadakan kegiatan ini untuk memberikan sebuah pandangan pada mahasiswa tentang MEA, agar dapat mempersiapkan diri dalam menghadapi ekonomi yang semakin mengglobal,” ujar Ketua Panitia Nuruddin Islamic Fair (NIF), Haris, Minggu (20/3) pagi.
Kegiatan tersebut dimulai dari pukul 08.00 sampai dengan 11.00 pagi, dan dihadiri oleh sejumlah mahasiswa yang ada di Untan.
“Selain mahasiswa dari Fakultas Untan, kita juga mengadakan kegiatan ini secara umum siapapun boleh menghadirinya,” katanya Haris.
Haris mengatakan, narasumber pada seminar hari ini, yaitu Viza Juliansyah yang juga dosen FISIP Untan.
“Semoga seluruh peserta yang hadir pada seminar hari ini mendapatkan sebuah pandangan untuk memahami konsep MEA kedepannya,” tuturnya.
Dilanjutkan Haris, setelah seminar ini selesai, pihaknya akan mengadakan bakti sosial di Panti asuhan Baitul Hikmah, Sungai Rengas dengan tujuan ingin memberikan beberapa sumbangan yang didapat mahasiswa dan dari masyarakat umum.
“Sumbangan tersebut berupa pakaian, uang tunai, sembako, dan yang lainnya. Kami berharap, bantuan yang kami berikan ini dapat meringankan beban materi, maupun psikologi. Kami akan menghibur dan memotivasi anak-anak yang ada di panti asuhan agar mereka lebih optimis dalam meraih cita-citanya,” pungkas Haris.
