Denpasar – Belmawa.Intan Ahmad: Mahasiswa Bidikmisi, Buatlah Indonesia Lebih Baik Lagi. Direktur Jenderal Pembelajaran dan Kemahasiswaan Prof. Intan Ahmad hadir dalam acara temu mahasiswa Bidikmisi angkatan 2016 se-Provinsi Bali yang digelar oleh Kopertis Wilayah VIII Bali (12/5/2017). Selain itu, turut hadir Anggota Komisi X DPR RI, I Wayan Koster dan Direktur Kemahasiswaan Ditjen Belmawa, Didin Wahidin.
Dalam pembukaan acara, Prof. I Nengah Dasi Astawa selaku Koordinator Kopertis VIII menyampaikan harapan kepada 400an mahasiswa Bidikmisi yang hadir dalam acara agar dapat membangun cinta, cerita indah nyata abadi, menempuh pendidikan tinggi untuk hidup dengan cinta yang lebih bermakna, bahagia, dan suka cita.
I Wayan Koster dalam sambutannya juga menyampaikan hal yang senada bahwa modal kehidupan ke depan adalah pendidikan, ilmu yang bermanfaat, belajar berdoa – bekerja berdoa, ora et labora, yang akan menentukan keberhasilan seseorang dimasa mendatang.
Acara yang berlangsung di Aula Kopertis Wilayah VIII ini kemudian diisi oleh orasi Intan Ahmad dengan meyampaikan bahwa program Bidikmisi dimulai sejak tahun 2010 untuk memberikan kesempatan kepada anak bangsa yang memiliki potensi akademik sangat baik, namun perlu dibantu secara ekonomi. Adanya program ini juga ditujukan untuk mempererat kohesi sosial yang ada di Indonesia.
Dalam orasinya, Intan berpesan kepada para mahasiswa Bidikmisi untuk mengisi kemerdekaan Indonesia dengan kontribusi yang bermanfaat. “Pahami betul posisi keunggulan Indonesia daripada negara lainnya, tingkatkan, kembangkan, hasilkan inovasi-inovasi yang berdaya guna. Nilai (pengetahuan) yang diperoleh selama masa studi harus dikembalikan kepada masyarakat. Namun demikian, wawasan kebangsaan jangan ditinggalkan, tetap harus ditingkatkan dan diimpelementasikan. Buatlah Indonesia lebih baik lagi”, terangnya.
“Bidikmisi, membidik prestasi, membangun NKRI. “Connect, compete, collaborate agar Indonesia bisa lebih maju lagi, tambah Didin Wahidin.
Menelisik jejak Bidikmisi, sejak 2010 mahasiswa Bidikmisi memiliki prestasi yang amat membanggakan dengan IPK rata-rata di atas 3,0, dampaknya mampu meningkatkan kualitas perguruan tinggi. Data tahun 2016 menunjukkan lebih dari 47% mahasiswa Bidikmisi memperoleh IPK 3,0-3,5, dan lebih dari 31% memperoleh IPK >3,5 serta 0.7% mempunyai IPK 4,0.
Dalam acara ini, Intan berbincang dengan 14 orang mahasiswa Bidikmisi semester 2 di 9 perguruan tinggi se-Provinsi Bali yang memperoleh IPK 4,0. “Bagi mahasiswa lainnya, saya percaya semua berprestasi walau tidak memiliki IPK 4,0. Terus tingkatkan prestasi, baik akademik dan non akademik, hard skills-softskills yang kelak akan amat berguna untuk menghadapi dunia yang selalu berubah”, pungkas Intan. (Andri/Editor/HKLI))
