UPT Bahas Latih Dosen Meningkatkan Bahasa Inggris. UPT Bahasa Politeknik Negeri Pontianak mengadakan pelatihan IELTS bagi dosen. Pelatihan IELTS merupakan inisiatif UPT Bahasa tanpa ada biaya yang dikeluarkan oleh dosen Politeknik Negeri Pontianak. Kegiatan pelatihan IELTS bagi dosen Politeknik Negeri Pontianak yang diselenggarakan oleh UPT Bahasa bertujuan membantu para dosen untuk meningkatkan kemampuannya berbahasa Inggris. Jika akan melanjutkan program pendidikan di luar neger, mereka sudah ada bekal, ujar Ardi Marwan Ka. UPT Bahasa. Kami akan berbagi pengalaman kepada dosen-dosen yang akan meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Inggrisnya dan tidak menerima bayaran, ujarnya.

Pada kesempatan itu, Direktur Politeknik Negeri Pontianak H. Muhammad Toasin Asha mengapresiasi kepada UPT Bahasa yang telah memberikan pelatihan IELTS secara gratis kepada dosen dan ini merupakan salah satu peningkatan pelayanan. Dia juga meminta kepada para dosen yang masih S2 dan masih muda secara terus menerus meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasinya dalam bahasa Inggris. Direktur mengingatkan bahwa tuntutan sekarang dan akan datang menuntut dosen mampu berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris. Dosen yang diberi kesempatan untuk mengikuti pelatihan bahasa Inggris agar mengikutinya sungguh-sungguh dan jurnal internasional menggunakan bahasa Inggris, pintanya.   Jika ada dosen yang memperoleh nilai tertinggi IELT (nilai 6,5) akan diberikan bantuan penuh dan dosen peringkat 2 dan 3 setengahnya, janji Direktur kepada peserta pelatihan IELTS. Saya berharap bantuan dapat memotivasi para peserta pelatihan, ujar Direktur mengakhiri sambutannya. (Pranata Humas Muda)
