Pontianak, FISIP UNTAN, Pembekalan Praktikum Pembangunan Sosial (PPS) Berbasis Magang Periode 1.Pembekalan Praktikum Pembangunan Sosial FISIP UNTAN diadakan sebagai respon dari pendekatan pembelajaran teori-teori (transfer knowledge) secara klasikal yang terkadang terlalu mengawang-awang. Ranah dari teori itu berada pada kawasan abstrak, konseptual dan idealis sementara itu implementasinya berada pada ranah konkret.
Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut, program studi Pembangunan Sosial memandang penting untuk memasukan praktik lapangan (job training) ke dalam kurikulum prodi terbaru sejak diberlakukannya perubahan nama dan kurikulum program studi Pembangunan Sosial pada tahun 2014/2015 lalu yang semula bernama Ilmu Sosiatri, berdasarkan Nomenklatur Dikti.
Melalui Matakuliah Praktikum Pembangunan Sosial (PPS), mahasiswa Pembangunan Sosial dapat melaksanakan job training ke instansi pemerintahan, LSM atau NGO maupun perusahaan-perusahaan dalam kaitannya dengan Capaian Pembelajaran (CP) program studi serta subject matters Pembangunan Sosial yang telah disepakati bersama Asosiasi Pembangunan Sosial Indonesia (APSI) yang dikendarai oleh Universitas Gadjah Mada, yaitu: Social Policy (level makro), Community Empowerment (level mezo) dan Corporate Social Responsibility (level mikro) dengan 20 mata kuliah inti Asosiasi. Harapannya Program Studi Pembangunan Sosial yang tersebar di beberapa Perguruan Tinggi Indonesia memiliki standar kurikulum dan CP yang sama namun disesuaikan dengan potensi lokal masing-masing dalam upaya meningkatkan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas.
Jum’at (2/06/2017), Program Studi Pembangunan Sosial mengadakan pembekalan sekaligus pelepasan mahasiswa peserta PPS untuk periode pertama. Acara tersebut dibuka oleh Wakil Dekan I FISIP Universitas Tanjungpura, Dr.Herlan, M.Si. Rangkaian acara lainnya adalah penyerahan Surat Tugas PPS secara simbolis oleh Ketua Jurusan Sosiologi, Yulianti, SH.M. Si dan Ketua Lab. Sos, Dr. Mukhlis, M.Si. kepada perwakilan mahasiswa peserta PPS. Acara tersebut juga dihadiri Ketua Program Studi Pembangunan Sosial Dr. Indah Listyaningrum, M.Si yang juga sebagai Pemateri.
Ketua Program Studi Pembangunan Sosial, Dr. Indah Listyaningrum, M.Si menuturkan bahwa,
“Peserta PPS periode satu ini berjumlah 71 orang yang tersebar di 13 Kabupaten dan Kota diantaranya Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu, Kabupaten Melawi, Kabupaten Sintang, Kabupaten Sekadau, Kabupaten Sanggau, Kabupaten Ketapang, Kabupaten Kayong Utara, Kabupaten Kubu Raya, Kabupaten Mempawah, Kabupaten Sambas, Kota Singkawang, Kota Pontianak dan yang terjauh Kabupaten Natuna. Terimakasih tak terhingga kepada pihak instansi pemerintahan, LSM atau NGO, dan Perusahaan-perusahaan yang telah bersedia menerima mahasiswa Pemsos melaksanakan job training. Melalui mata kuliah PPS ini akan mampu menjawab pasaran kerja dan dunia industri serta untuk menjalin kerjasama dalam bentuk kemitraan sejajar antara perguruan tinggi dengan pemerintahan, LSM atau NGO, dan berbagai perusahaan selaku user dari lulusan Program Studi Pembangunan Sosial”.
