UTS: Anti Plagiarisme dan Pelatihan “Paperpile” Sitasi Daring

Pontianak, Fisipnews.  . Memasuki bulan April, mahasiswa FISIP Universitas Tanjungpura sedang menyambut pelaksanaan Ujian Tengah Semester (UTS) Genap tahun akademik 2016/2017. UTS dilaksanakan sejak tanggal 3 April – 12 April 2017.

Berdasarlan hasil rapat panitia UTS tanggal 31 April 2017, diharapkan proses pelaksanaan UTS lebih tertib dan disiplin. Kejujuran akademik juga selalu ditekankan kepada mahasiswa termasuk dalam setiap pengerjaan tugas maupun karya ilmiah.

Segala bentuk copy-paste, menjiplak atau mencuri karya orang lain dan diaku sebagai karya milik sendiri adalah bentuk plagiarisme yang tidak dibenarkan dalam dunia akademik.

Bahkan tidak diharapkan juga berlaku di kehidupan sehari-hari. Di Prodi Antropologi Sosial, mahasiswa juga sedang mengikuti UTS.

Ada beberapa jenis UTS yang diberikan kepada mahasiswa prodi Antropologi Sosial, antara lain ujian tertulis di kelas, pengumpulan tugas, karya tulis berbasis penelitian, dan juga ada penugasan berupa pameran foto hasil penelitian.

Jenis UTS diberikan tergantung dengan mata kuliah dan dosen.

Plagiat adalah perbuatan secara sengaja atau tidak sengaja dalam memperoleh atau mencoba memperoleh kredit atau nilai untuk suatu karya ilmiah, dengan mengutip sebagian atau seluruh karya ilmiah pihak lain yang diakui sebagai karya ilmiahnya, tanpa menyatakan sumber secara tepat dan memadai.

Sedangkan Plagiator adalah orang perseorangan atau kelompok atau pelaku plagiat, masing-masing bertindak untuk diri sendiri, untuk kelompok atau untuk dan atas nama suatu badan. (pasal 1, permendiknas 17 tahun 2010 tentang Pencegahan dan Penanggulangan Plagiat di Perguruan Tinggi).

“Semua ini meskipun kecil diharapkan berefek besar bagi terciptanya iklim perubahan yang transformatif untuk memanfaatkan kemajuan teknologi dalam menegakkan pilar edukasi, riset dan pengabdian”. Kata instruktur pelatihan.

Menurutnya kedepan masih banyak agenda lain yang perlu di-share kepada komunitas, seperti program GAFE (Google Apps For Education), OJS ( Open Journal System), LMS MOODLE  (Learning Management System – Modular Object Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment), Web CMS (Content Management System), dan masih banyak lagi. Syaratnya bergantug pada “selera komunitas” berminat dan semangat untuk mengikuti sesi-sesi berikutnya.
