Pontianak, Fisipnews – Pakar e-learning dari University of Leicester jadi narasumber Workshop Untan. International Office Untan bekerja sama 7 in 1 Untan menggelar acara “Workshop Teaching and Learning Through Digital Technologies”, di Gedung Unit Pelaksana Teknis (UPT) Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK), Pusat Komputer (Puskom) Universitas Tanjungpura, Kamis pagi, seperti dilansir thetanjungpuratimes (19/5).

Panitia workshop Imam mengatakan tujuan dari diselenggarakannya acara tersebut adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dosen di Universitas Tanjungpura memberikan materi digital dalam setiap pembelajaran.
“Fokusnya adalah bagaimana kita untuk merangsang mahasiswa untuk bisa tahu lebih banyak lagi tentang mata kuliah yang sedang diambil,” kata Imam saat ditemui di sela-sela acara.
Selain itu, kata Imam output dari acara ini adalah bagaimana seorang dosen bisa membantu mahasiswa menimbulkan ide-idenya. Tidak hanya itu saja, ujar Imam, workshop ini harus bisa meningkatkan kontribusi mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan dan menerapkannya sehari-hari.

Imam mengatakan workshop tersebut menghadirkan dosen dari University of Leicester, Inggris Dr. Palitha Edirisingha sebagai narasumber yang juga pakar e-learning.
“Dia ini selain sebagai dosen juga seorang spesialis e-learning, sebelum ke sini dia mengajar di Kazakhstan, dan sangat cocok untuk hadir di sini sebagai narasumber,” katanya.
