Ada kebanggan tersendiri ketika dinyatakan bahwa kegiatan Workshop Nasional yang diselenggarakan atas kerjasama APSSI dan Sosiologi FISIP Untan tahun 2014 ini adalah kegiatan APSSI dengan jumlah peserta terbanyak sepanjang sejarahnya. Karena banyaknya peserta adalah salah satu indikator dari suksesnya kegiatan. Hal ini diungkapkan langsung Ahmad Sinala, Wakil Ketua 2 APSSI di penghujung sambutan penutupan kegiatan workshop, 29 Oktober 2014 di Hotel Santika Pontianak.<\/p>\n

\u201clebih dari 60 prodi Sosiologi yang hadir dengan jumlah peserta yang selama kami ikuti terbesar kali ini, di Manado, semangat kongres harus bisa lebih dari Pontianak\u201d kata Ahmad Sinala. Dosen Untad \u00a0ini juga menyampaikan apresiasi dan rasa terimakasih\u00a0 kepada panitia yang telah bekerja keras sejak kedatangan, pembukaan acara, pembahasan komisi, rencana menyusuri Sungai Kapuas di malam hari, dan city tou<\/em>r esok pagi.<\/p>\n

Dalam pidato penutupan workshop, Ahmad Sinala menyampaikan ketidakhadiran Ketua Umum karena ada tugas di luar negeri namun beliau diharapkan mudah-mudahan bisa menghadirkan presiden Jokowi atau wapres Jusuf Kalla dalam kegiatan Kongres di Manado tahun depan.<\/p>\n

Terkait dengan rumusan hasil kesepakatan workshop yang sebelumnya telah diplenokan, dikatakan Ahmad Sinala akan digunakan sebagai rujukan bagi prodi sosiologi dalam rangka standarisasi terkait dengan jurnal, kurikulum, penelitian dan sebagainya tanpa membedakan prodi lama atau yang baru berdiri. \u201cNanti tidak ada lagi dikotomi prodi yang besar atau yang kecil karena kita akan sama-sama maju dengan semangat yang sudah terbangun melalui proses-proses kerja selama ini\u201d tegasnya.<\/p>\n

Terkesan dengan atmosfer workshop yang diselenggarakan FISIP Untan, Ahmad Sinala menghimbau agar semangat dan kebersamaan yang demikian besar terbangun di Pontianak hendaknya bisa dijadikan starting point<\/em> untuk lebih ditingkatkan kedepan, \u201cSemoga didalam kongres di Manado nanti lebih banyak lagi peserta yang hadir\u201d kata dia. Karena menurut dia\u00a0 semakin banyak peserta dari anggota APSSI maka semakin banyak pemikiran yang bisa dihasilkan untuk kemajuan bersama.<\/p>\n

Dalam penghujung pidatonya, Ahmad Sinala menggaris bawahi suatu persoalan mendasar yang mengemuka dalam bahasan komisi seperti masih ada yang mempertanyakan apa itu sosiologi, apa urgensinya setelah dipelajari usai studi bagi kehidupan mahasiswa?, \u201ckita perlu menata kembali APSSI kedepan guna menjawab berbagai tantangan yang dihadapi prodi-prodi sosiologi\u201d. demikian kata Ahmad Sinala sesaat sebelum resmi menutup kegiatan Workshop.
